Moreover, majority of the women in Nepal are uneducated, lack saleable skills and do not have access to outdoor jobs, thus they have to rely on their male partners to sustain their family. HHFN aims to change this situation by conducting various types of women empowerment activities in rural Nepal and invites volunteers across the world.

Volunteer Responsibilities & Impacts

This volunteering opportunity in Nepal with women’s project aim to help impoverished women. We aim to assist them rebuild their self-esteem and confidence in hopes of leading a prolific life with respect and happiness. After joining the program, you will contribute to a variety of activities, ranging from teaching English to skill development training for young girls and adult women. 

The HHFN offers six major projects within the Women Empowerment Program and you will get involve in the following programs:

The empowerment volunteer program for women in Nepal is a really impactful one. You'll help to minimize superstitious beliefs by increasing awareness. You will teach crucial life skills and encourage them to be independent and lead a harmonious life. Skills and Qualifications

There are no specific educational experiences, skills or qualifications needed to our women's support volunteering project in Nepal. However, you are expected to be flexible and patient. You should also have a passion and love to work with these poor and exploited women and young girls. Creativity is highly valued in you so that you can provide inspiration and guidance to these women and girls!

Volunteer Schedule

When you arrive in Nepal, our airport representative picks you up at the airport and transfers to your accommodation. The next morning, our project coordinator gives you an orientation about the country, safety procedures, Dos and Don’ts along with the general outline of the volunteering in Nepal program.  After orientation, you will be taken to your respective project and you will start your volunteer work. There is not such a fixed daily schedule as volunteering works vary every day. Here is sample daily schedule:

• 7.30 AM​: Enjoy your delicious breakfast at your accommodation.

• 8.45 AM:  You will commute to your placement and start volunteering with underprivileged women.

• 3.00 PM: The volunteering work generally ends. You are free to travel home, prepare for the next day or do some shopping and sightseeing.

• 7.30 PM: Dinner.

Dates and Fees

Accommodation and Meal

Your safe and sound accommodation will be situated alongside of your volunteer with women program in Nepal with a welcoming host family.  You will enjoy three home-cooked meals that your host family serves every day.
