Everest base camps refers generally to two base camps on opposite sides of Mount Everest: South Base Camp is in Nepal at an altitude of 5,364 metres (17,598 ft) (28°0′26″N 86°51′34″E), while North Base Camp is in Tibet at 5,150 metres (16,900 ft) (28°8′29″N 86°51′5″E)

You launch a trek from the village of Lukla. Then the trekking path encompasses several villages dispersed across the terrain, such as Namche Bazaar and Dingboche. In addition, destinations such as Monjo and Phakding are also included.The area is covered with dense alpine trees and Himalayan forests. Blue Fir, Oak, Cedar and Juniper forests shroud the lower sub-regions. Higher altitude consists of snowy acreages decorated with glaciers and ice slides.

Famous Landmarks of the Trek

Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Kathmandu!

Upon your arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport, our support team will greet you, then transfer you to your comfortable hotel. The rest of the day is reserved for rest. In the evening, you will enjoy a welcome dinner with a genuine Nepalese cuisine, which will introduce you to the Nepalese food culture

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation

The next day of your Everest Base Camp Trekking trip is a day of sightseeing in Kathmandu. This trek begins with a spectacular tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in and around the Kathmandu Valley. Visiting the Temple of Pashupatinath, Boudhanath and other historic sights of Patan are on the cards today. All of the historical sites represent the ancient traditions, arts and crafts of the people of Nepal, their lifestyle and religion.

Day 3: Flight to Lukla& trek to Phakding [2,656m]

Early in the morning, a 35-minute picturesque flight to Lukla takes you through the mountainous foothills of the Himalayas. This will lead you to the Khumbu area, where your trekking to Everest journey begins. From here, you'll ascend up to the DudhKoshi River Valley and reach Phakding, where you'll spend the night.

Day 4 : Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) Duration: 5-6 hours.

After breakfast, before going through Tok-Tok, Bhenkar, and Monjo, the trekking to Everest trail crosses several suspension bridges over the DudhKosi River and then arrives at the entrance gate of Sagarmatha National Park, where you will be required to purchase a permit. There is a steep uphill trek to Namche Bazaar after walking the river bed for a few hours and following the last Hillary suspension bridge. There are a decent number of hotels, a virtual café, bars, a post office, an ATM and banks in Namche. Included: breakfast, lunch & dinner

Day 5 : Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar (Hike to Everest View Hotel) Duration 3-4 hours.

An ideal place for 'acclimatization' is this idyllic area. Instead of being around, health professionals suggest we spend the day being active. You can take a short hike from Namche to Everest View Spa, Thame, visit Khunde, or relax and explore Namche Bazaar. The main hub of the Everest (Khumbu) area is Namche Bazaar, which has government offices, ATMs, internet cafes, bars, restaurants, bakeries, and a vibrant market every Friday night and Saturday. Our guides will also drive us to the Tourist Visitor Center near the Sagarmatha National Park headquarters, where we will witness a number of artifacts linked to the first Everest and Sherpa culture climbing mountaineers.Breakfast, lunch & dinner included

Day 6 : Trek to Tengboche (3,870 m) Duration: 5-6 hours.

The trek to Everest proceeds along the fast-flowing glacial waters of the DudhKosi with spectacular mountain views (Mt. Everest, Lhoste, Taboche hill, Amadablam. At Tengboche, you finally reach an altitude of 3,800 meters. There are extremely ornate wall hangings at the Tengboche monastery, a 20-foot sculpture of the Buddha's various poses and the Lamas' musical instruments and robes. Depending on how the trek goes on this day, our group will be taken to attend a prayer ritual, either in the evening or in the morning. Included: breakfast, lunch & dinner

Day 7 : Trek to Dingboche (4,460m) Duration: 5-6 hours.

The Tengboche to Dingboche trekking in Everest region is just a short distance, and is most likely to be finished in the afternoon. The final hill to Dingboche, and at this high altitude, is tough! Then the path leads to the village of Somare (4020m) and then to Orsho, all of which are located. Before passing a suspension bridge and a steep climb to the village of Dingboche (4460m) with several nice guesthouses, the path then splits, with the left trail going up to Pheriche. Included: breakfast, lunch & dinner

Day 8: Acclimatization day at Dingboche and hike to Chukkung Valley (4730m) Duration: 4-5 hours.

Prior to going to higher altitudes, it is appropriate to spend another day acclimatizing. Hiking up to the Chukkung Valley (4730m) and on to Island Peak is one way of doing this (ImjaTes).Included: breakfast, lunch & dinner

Day 9 : Trek to Lobuche (4,900 meters) Duration: 5-6 hours.

After breakfast, our trekking to Everest Base Camp starts with a simple walk to Thukla before crossing the steep Khumbu Glacier terminal moraine and then going through the boulder-strewn slopes as we ascend ChupkiLhara where we find clusters of stones with prayer flags raised by Sherpas as a memorial. Then the route leads to the moraine of the Khumbu Glacier and there are several spectacular mountain peaks before us - Khumbutse, Lingtren, and MahalangurHimal. We're living in Lobuche overnight.Included: breakfast, lunch & dinner

Day 10 : Trek to Gorakshep (5,180m) trek to EBC & overnight stay at Gorekshep Duration: 7-8 hours.

We are starting our trek through the vast Gorak-Shep to Mt. Everest Base Camp. We pass the memorials of Indian army mountaineers along the trail. The direction can be challenging at this point, so it's important to follow your map.Included: breakfast, lunch & dinner

Day 11: Hike to Kalapatthar (5,550m) at sunrise & trek to Pangboche (3,900 m) Duration: 7-9 hours.

About 4:00 a.m. We will launch our Everest trek in pre-dawn darkness and cold temperatures (-10 to -14 C). At this altitude, it is normal for there to be cold winds. As Everest comes into view, majestic peaks, such as Khumbutse, Lingtren, and Changtse loom before us to the east.Included: breakfast, lunch & dinner

Day 12 : Trek Back to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m) Duration: 5-6 hours

We follow our steps from Pangboche down to ImjaKhola and then up through the rhododendron forest to the monasteries of Tengboche. This could be a chance for us to see the nuns at the Tengboche Monastery conducting their religious ceremonies.Included: breakfast, lunch & dinner

Day 13 : Trek to Lukla (2,804 m) Duration: 6-7 hours

This is our final day of Everest trekking. This is a moment to focus on our trek as a group's memorable experiences and our individual ambitions being accomplished. A free afternoon gives you time to enjoy a hot shower and relax! We'll be partying with a few cocktails and dancing in the evening.Included: breakfast, lunch & dinner

Day 14 : Fly back to Kathmandu; flight Duration: 30 minutes.

The following day you will pack up early in the morning and prepare yourself for the airport, where you will board a flight back to Kathmandu. Once you are here safely, the day is all yours, and is meant to explore the city for the one last time before you head home.

Day 15: Depart Kathmandu

The fifteenth day of your Everest Base Camp 15 Day Trek is the final day of your long trekking journey here in Nepal. Our representative will transfer you to the airport. You take back home memories of this mountainous country in your heart and mind.
