HHFN, over the years, has been a foundation that focuses on the duties of social obligations for uplifting the lives of people from the remote and underprivileged parts of ancient and modern Nepal.Palpa district is a part of the Lumbini province of Nepal. Its headquarters is known as Tansen. The Hindu Sen Kingdom once ruled the ancient hill town of Tansen during the 16th century, and that was where the headquarters name was derived. The population Of Palpa in 2021 data is 242 423. There are ten local bodies of rural municipalities in Palpa. It is also a hub of lakes and tributaries such as Kali Gandaki, Tinau Khola, Ridi, Purwa, Jumsa, Dovan Rivers, Pravas, Sita, and Satyavati lakes. 

Palpa has beautiful historical relics and has become a famous hot spot for internal and external tourists for sightseeing such as Kalika fort, Nuwakot fort, Bakumgadi fort, Argali palace, Ranighat palace, Tansen temples, Stupas, historical architecture, Madan Pokhara and Bhairabsthan temples. Palpa Durbar and Museum

Palpa Durbar, or the Tansen Durbar museum, is a historic palace and museum built in 1927 and is one of the major attractions among tourists who visit here. It was founded by Pratap Shumsher Jung Bahadur Rana, rebuilt after the Civil war of Nepal, and opened in 2008. The eye-catching architecture of Palpa durbar highlights the history and civilization of Palpa for which the people here are known after.

Rani Mahal:

Located along the banks of the Kaligandaki river of Palpa is the famous Rani Mahal or the Ranighat palace. It was built in 1893 by Khadga Shumsher Jung Bahadur Rana. The British architect hired from India had designed the Palace, and it took four years to finish the construction job. Rani Mahal was in the vicinity of a forested area called Raniban, where the name of this Palace originated.


Srinagar danda

Srinagar Danda in Palpa district is the best viewpoint of the Himalayan peaks of Mahabharata, Himalayan, and Madi valleys below. It is for nature lovers and sightseers to witness majestic sunrise and sunset views. The height of Srinagar danda is 1650 meters ridge with densely covered pine tree forest and natural vegetation. Those who like meditation, photography, and outdoor picnics visit here often and relinquish the natural beauty of Srinagar danda.


Palpa Madi

Palpa Madi at Pokharathok is in ward number 2 of the Palpa district of Nepal. During winter, Palpa Madi is covered with white morning fog. So it is also known as the White lake region of Nepal. Many photographers have found this place a good spot for capturing beautiful sites and stayed at hotels at Palpa Madi.


Amar Narayan temple

Amar Narayan mandir can be found in the Hindu temple in Tansen Palpa. It was built in 1807 by Amar Singh Thapa. It is also considered one of the most beautiful temples, where the deities are carved in wooden structures. The significant idol of Lord Vishnu is worshipped with prayers and lighting butter lamps. Most nearby people come to this temple and offer worship; it is a popular destination in Palpa for visitors.


Rishikesh temple:

Rishikesh temple is in the Southwest Nepal of the Lumbini zone and is a holy Hindu temple. Rishikesh is a derived name of Lord Vishnu, who appeared as an apparition to Ribhya Rishi, and through Tapasya, he became known as Lord Rishikesh. The architecture of this temple is from the Sen Period. Around the temple, there are fairs and Vedic rituals performed daily. This place got listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site of Nepal in 2008. 


Mahamrityunjaya Statue:

Mahamritunjaya Shivashan is a sizable metallic idol of Lord Shiva in Bhabasan in the lap of the Kaligandaki River. It was designed by experienced architects and artisans who took two years to complete. The temple is surrounded by a courtyard of Lord Shiva and other deities of Hinduism. It is a significant spiritual center among other Shiva temples like Pashupatinath, Amarnath, and Mount Kailash Sarovar in Nepal. The temple vicinity has old-aged homes, Sanskrit schools, and medical service providers.In the Municipalities of Palpa, some people are in dire states, looking for quality life through the fulfilment of these fundamental needs, which are quality education in technical fields, disable friendly schools, budget for education, abolishments of early child marriages, sanitation, and hygiene, health care facilities, and treatments, gender equality for women empowerment and safe motherhood, less violence and exploitations of children and women, sustainable income generating occupations, reduction of migrants to foreign countries, well accessed financial services, and disaster management alternatives. The local coffee farmers who have the best potential to produce the best coffees that can be exported to third-world countries are facing issues like a pest, lack of subsidies over farmer's investments, and hazardous climate changes like hailstones which can ruin the crop that can become a sustainable source of income to the local farmers.

Usage of their unique skills and knowledge to nourish the lives of women, children, and old aged people by working for them and understanding their day-to-day problems from different aspects of programs by moving a bit outside of one's shell and connecting with Palpa and using HHFN'S in-country staff to join in this work for a noble cause and bring hope and fruitful changes by more hands for people of Palpa region.
