Steps Of Application

We are happy that you have decided to join our volunteer in Nepal program and experience a life of a volunteer. HHFN is committed to work with you to make your volunteer in Nepal a rewarding and memorable experience.

Step 1: Complete The Application Form And Submit A $99 Refundable Program Deposit

Book/reserve your project at least 1 month prior to your departure date (Though we allow for flexibility due to travel constraints) by downloading and mailing us the application form. You can also apply online. Advance application helps you to secure your placement. Each application must be submitted with a $99 refundable program deposit fee. HHFN guarantees you a placement. If not, we will refund your $99 deposit. The program deposit is later deducted from the total program fee.

Step 2: Notification, Processing Of Application, Acceptance, And Details Of Project Information

Once we receive your application with $99 deposit fee, we will send your application immediately (within 24 hours) to our country coordinator for processing. Our coordinator matches your interest, finds the most suitable volunteer placement, and makes an arrangement for room/food and other logistic supports. It generally takes 1-3 weeks. We will send you the letter of acceptance and details of your projects, host family, and other arrangements within 1-4 weeks.

Step 3: Preparation For Vaccination, Visa, Tickets, And Payment Of Program Fee

Once you receive your placement details (or confirmation) from HHFN, you will be required to consult your doctor, take vaccinations (if needed), apply for visa, purchase tickets and make necessary travel arrangements. Please fax a photocopy of your passport and itinerary to our office. Participants must make a full payment of the program fee at least 1 month prior to departure.

Step 4: Arrival, Hotel Transfer, Orientation, Start Of Program

We pass your arrival information to our coordinator. Our coordinator will receive you at the airport, and transfer you to a hotel/hostel. The next day, your program starts with an orientation. Our field staffs and coordinators are always available if you need any kind of services and support.
