Why Volunteer in Nepal?

Volunteering in Nepal with HHFN can be an extremely rewarding and life-changing experience. Your selfless efforts can bring great changes in the lives of underprivileged children and communities.

Nepal is one of the most beautiful, culturally rich and arguably the best travel destinations in the world. It is home to Mount Everest, several antique temples, monuments and landmarks, the birthplace, and a beautiful and diverse landscape, ranging from the well-known peaks of the Himalaya to the low-lying regions of the Terai. The Nepali people are as diverse at the geography, with over 70 languages or dialects and scores of traditional festivals celebrated throughout the year. Unfortunately, despite of its amazing natural and cultural beauty, Nepal remains gripped by poverty resulting from decades of civil war and political instability. Mountainous geography, the gap between rich and poor, and lack of access to education, all contribute to make Nepal one of the poorest countries in Asia.

To help change this situation, several national and international volunteer organizations are continuously working, however, their efforts have not been enough. This is the reason today Nepal needs volunteers more than ever. HHFN Volunteers mission is to make a significant difference in the life of these disadvantaged communities.
