When is the best time to hiking Annapurna Base Camp?
You can go any time of the year to Annapurna Base Camp trek. Yet the monsoon season is not an ideal season. During this season, afternoon and night receives heavy rainfall and the dark clouds are always present, making it difficult to fully explore the region. This season also introduces leeches, mosquitoes, slippery highways and possible landslides. For this Annapurna base camp trekking, autumn is the best time. Autumn is a dry season with clear blue skies and mild temperatures. This is the best time to go trekking in Nepal and the region gets most crowded at this time.

If you want to explore the region on a serene environment with not much tourists around, you could go during December. Also in winter, ABC is feasible. Dry air with the greatest visibility and clear sky, but it will be very cold and snowy during the winter. You need to prepare well with suitable packaging if you intend to hike in December. Beginning in January, when traveling from Deurali to Machhapuchhre Base Camp, you need to be cautious about the avalanche. This stretch is susceptible to avalanche. Annapurna Trekkers should be cautious no matter how long they are trekking from Deurali to MBC in one year.Spring is another best time to go trekking in Annapurna Base Camp, however, you should be aware of the avalanche. During the Spring season, the trekking trails will be adorned by blooming red and white rhododendrons and many other exotic flowers.
