There is no Existence of Life without Trees! Help save the Nepalese nature and its ecosystem by participating in our sustainable Plantation Volunteer work camp in Nepal!

The program works to restore and sustain the natural ecosystem by organizing wide ranging plantation/afforestation works in the bare land of the Saharanpur village.  You and your group of friends will also engage in varieties of activities that raise awareness about deforestation and its effects, encourage afforestation practices, teach sustainable farming methods, raise awareness about environmental pollution and much more.

Background, Work Responsibilities & Impacts

This Plantation Work Camp is operated in Saharanpur, a small remote village of Nepal situated about 165 KM far from Kathmandu. The world has been facing the challenges of extreme exploitation of natural resources, and Saharanpur village doesn’t sit far from this situation. In Saharanpur, 80% of domestic energy consumed is provided from fuel wood, mainly from natural jungle, which is being dwindling at an alarming and unmaintainable rate. We need an immediate solution to stop the further degradation of natural resources, thus afforestation and plantation could hold the answer. We all know that trees provide us breath, fuel, food, medicine, building materials, and much more absorbing carbons and other harmful elements. They also house animals and upkeep the soil.

Therefore, At HHFN, we have specially designed this work camp project to plant a wide variety of trees in the bare land, growing seeds in our nursery.  You can do your part to turn the tides by joining this amazing project in just 15 days. By taking part in this program, you will indeed make the world a greener and healthier place, benefiting the people and animals of remote Sharanpur village.  You will work about 5/6 hours a day, 2/3 hours in the morning 8 to 10/11 and 2/3 hours in the evening 4 to 6/7 according to the demand of the project and work camp season.

You will also gain unparalleled experience in the area of nature conservation. These 15 days will be undoubtedly the most precious and cherished moments of your entire life as you will immerse yourself in amazing Nepalese culture, learn Nepali language, make life-long Nepali friends, and taste various types of local Nepalese dishes and homemade drinks, providing you with an experience of a lifetime.
